Every chemical dose on this page is a function of one number: how many gallons the pool actually holds. Get the volume wrong and nothing downstream can be right — chlorine, shock, stabilizer, pH, alkalinity, and hardness all scale straight off it, and the error compounds every time you dose. So volume comes first here, calculated from real dimensions including the slope of the floor rather than a rectangle approximation.
